The Cup
"Balanced, sweet and smooth with citric acidity, lemon and toffee flavors".
Take a trip with us to the volcanic soils of Guatemala Antigua, a region that has been producing some of the world’s most beloved coffees for centuries. We chose this roast because it highlights what Antigua does best: deep chocolate tones, smooth body, and a hint of dried fruit sweetness that peeks through even at a darker profile.
Now, full disclosure — while this coffee is billed as a “dark roast,” we felt it landed just shy of that mark. It carries the rich cocoa and caramelized depth you’d expect, but without the heavy oil and smoky edge of a true dark. We docked it a touch in scoring for that reason, but honestly? That’s not a bad thing. What you end up with is a cup that balances boldness with drinkability — perfect for those who like their coffee strong but not overpowering.
Expect a comforting, classic profile: baker’s chocolate, roasted almond, and a smooth, lingering finish. Whether you brew it as a pour-over, a French press, or a sturdy morning pot, we think this one is going to win you over.
Enjoy every sip — Antigua rarely disappoints.
